The PuntAla Camping Resort is located in a Mediterranean pinewood forest, a former hunting reserve for the Great Duke of Tuscany. In the 1920s, the Daddi-Giovannozzi family acquired this land and in 1969 opened a small camping ground under the shade of only 6 hectares of pinewood forest.

Over the years, the camping ground has become a thriving open-air resort, technically defined as a camping-village, of 27 hectares still managed by the same family.
