]]><![CDATA[Junior Special]]>Since 1969 three generations of campers have visited PuntAla during the summer holidays, where the concept of “family” doesn’t just have an emotional value, but a “financial” one as well. We are aware of how important family rates are for our guests, and following repeated suggestions, we have revised them.
Mature couples who visit our campsite with their grandchildren will benefit from our special promotion which removes the supplement for “adults” and “children”, as long as the grandparents are aged between 65 and 100 years, and the children between 0 and -18.

The offer is valid until the 22nd of March 2012 (subject to extension) if you book on line or through our call centre.

]]><![CDATA[Casetta Tenda Budget]]>Campeggiatori alle prime armi? Ecco la soluzione…

Quanti sono coloro che, incuriositi dalla stile unico di vacanza che solo il “campeggiare” può far provare, si trovano costretti a rinunciarvi per difficoltà tecniche o logistiche che montare ed allestire una tenda comporta?...Con la nuova sistemazione “Budget” non solo potrete trovare una sistemazione tra le più economiche disponibili  ma bensì vivere in famiglia o con amici una nuova esperienza all’aria aperta, in una tenda di ottima fattura. Da non dimenticare: il sacco a pelo, un fornelletto da campeggio e delle stoviglie (se non preferite farvi servire al ristorante interno più vicino), la biancheria da bagno, lo spazzolino da denti e tanta, tanta voglia di natura praticamente incontaminata.

Qui di seguito alcuni dettagli sulla sistemazione appena descritta. 

Il campeggio conta di 10 + 8 piazzole su cui sono posizionate le abitazioni di questa tipologia:

•    10 alloggi della dimensione pari a 19 mq, capaci di accogliere fino a 6 persone (3 adulti + 3 bambini)
Posizionate a schiera sotto abbondanti chiome ombrose in prossimità dell’ingresso del resort.

•    8 alloggi della dimensione pari a 19 mq, per 6 persone (3 adulti +  3 bambini)
Tutti gli alloggi sono ben dislocati vicino al mare dove la vegetazione e' ancora più fitta. La distanza massima dalla battigia è di 150 metri; alcuni in prossimità della duna sabbiosa a ridosso della fascia di rispetto, sono a 80 metri dall’acqua.

La dotazione degli alloggi comprende arredi base quali brande da campeggio, comodini/armadietto in tessuto e pvc, dispensa/guardaroba in tessuto; allaccio alla corrente elettrica (220V/700W) fornita da colonnine pubbliche poste a distanza media di 25/30 metri.
Non sono fornite né di tavolo e sedie né di biancherie (si suggerisce dotarsi di sacchi a pelo o lenzuola/coperte e cuscini).

La risorsa è prenotabile secondo le normali condizioni previste e, per alcune specifiche, riferibili ai prodotti “villaggio”.

* le piazzole di categoria B hanno prelazione sulla presa di allaccio alla colonnina.


Descrizione Tecnica
Tende in tessuto ignifugo sorrette da una robusta armatura autostabile con traverse lungo il perimetro e dotate di camere interne che ne migliorano radicalmente la vivibilità e l’isolamento termico nelle condizioni estive.
Il telo di copertura è in tessuto cotone/modacrilico impermeabile ignifugo (CAT. I).
Le due testate verticali sono dotate di porta d’ingresso protetta da verandino. Le fiancate sono inclinate, con ampie finestre fornite di zanzariera e telo di chiusura con coprifinestra trasparente.
La regolazione della ventilazione interna è garantita grazie alla falda rialzabile e alla presa d’aria protetta, situata sotto il portico d’ingresso.

]]><![CDATA[The maritime pine pest]]> Unfortunately, as it has been happening also in other autochthonous pinewoods around the Mediterranean basin, our splendid pineta has been attacked by a tiny insect (Matsucoccus feytaudi) that feeds on the plants’ sap and is causing a number of the pine trees that shade areas of the resort to weaken, wilt, and die. To combat this emergency, we are eliminating a number of trees – both young and old – that have been infested. Were we to leave them in place, they would only spread the infestation to other, healthy plants and even further damage the pinewood: our greatest asset after the sea itself. In parallel with the cutting, we will immediately be planting new young trees and varieties of shrubs that are less susceptible to this invasive pest. The extent of the damage is not worrisome, but we want to notify those of you who have already booked a pitch or a lodging affected by the cutting of the overhead vegetation to expect to hear from us soon – with suggestions for alternative accommodations. ]]><![CDATA[Resoconto SuperEnduro PuntAla Pro 2011]]>GARA PRO N°5 SuperEnduro 2011 – Punta Ala 17-18 settembre 2011

A voi, Enduristi che solo ieri avete fatto il bagno nel mare di Punta Ala (e oggi soffrite lo sbalzo termico di
temperature precipitate di 15/20 °)!
Supponendo siate oramai tornati alle vostre rispettive case, sappiamo che il meteo trovato al rientro non è
così clemente come lo è stato nelle ultime due giornate di vera estate serbate da qualcuno, sembrerebbe,
appositamente per le gare di SuperEnduro appena concluse nel passato week-end!
La gara PRO N°5, con sede di start/finish il PuntAla Camping Resort e prove lungo i percorsi del Bandite Bike
Park in Maremma, si è conclusa verso le ore 14:30 di ieri domenica 18 settembre con l’arrivo del primo
classificato dopo circa 5 ore di competizione con altri 110 iscritti nelle diverse categorie.
A celebrare il rientro di tutti i partenti, la demo di Dirt Jump che ha visto la partecipazione straordinaria di
Ale Barbero, uomo Red Bull, esprimersi insieme a Jack Bisi, Nick Pescetto ed altri del Kobra-Team in salti
spettacolari sull’impianto appositamente installato per la rassegna acrobatica.
E’ poi seguita le premiazioni dei vincitori sul podio. Da notare il titolo assoluto ad Andrea Bruno; la prima
posizione di Vittorio Gambirasio nella sua categoria (secondo assoluto); la quarta posizione assoluta di Alex
Stock, primo dei concorrenti stranieri in gara. L’ottimo piazzamento di Thomas Daddi alla quarta posizione
di categoria (tra i primi trenta assoluti) fa ben sperare il team dell’organizzazione e padrona di casa, l’a.s.d.
Bandite Bike Park, che dopo aver sfiorato il podio in questa edizione confida nel suo atleta di punta per il
finale di stagione e per quella a venire.
L’organizzazione ringrazia i volontari di Croce Rossa Italiana ed il Soccorso Alpino per l’assistenza
(fortunatamente mai intervenuta) sui sentieri e durante le demo di Dirt Jump, la Protezione Civile e la VAB
sez. di Grosseto, oltre a tutti i numerosi volontari che hanno supportato l’evento.

]]><![CDATA[SuperEnduro PuntAla PRO 2011]]>17 e 18 settembre, torna a Punta Ala, sui sentieri del Bandite Bike Park in Maremma, la gara ciclistica in mountain bike di specialità “SuperEnduro”.
Il circuito nazionale dedicato ai bikers “bi-ammortizzati” farà tappa per la quinta gara PRO a calendario in terra di Toscana (PRO è l’acronimo di professional, gare ad alto contenuto tecnico ed agonistico se comparate alle altre gare “sprint” del circuito). Sede logistica della manifestazione, per la seconda volta consecutiva (la prima edizione è datata settembre 2010) , il PuntAla Camping Resort che sarà di supporto all’intera macchina organizzativa coordinata dall’ A.S.D. Bandite Bike.
L’area interessata dai percorsi è quella già nota del bike park che insiste sull’omonimo parco forestale regionale delle Bandite di Scarlino. Quattro le PS (prove speciali) in programma per la giornata di gare, la domenica: trasferimento diretto dall’area paddock del PuntAla lungo la vicinale e poi su verso Santa Lucia e Buca della Neve per affrontare la PS1 e PS2 sulle pendici del Monte Alma (in discesa verso la rocca di Scarlino la prima; la seconda sul nuovissimo 30A che riporta verso il Pian d’Alma); la PS3 a scendere dal Monte di Muro verso il campo degli arcieri del Puntone; la PS4, dopo un dolce trasferimento lungo uno degli anelli tagliafuoco attorno a Poggio la Guardia, a capofitto per un single track panoramico fino al mare.
Il“prologo” programmato nel tardo pomeriggio del giorno prima, il sabato, non sarà da meno: sempre nell’area che del bike park si affaccia sulla costa frastagliata, il percorso sarà una vera e propria discesa in single track, dalla cessa panoramica che domina Cala Martina fino alla famosa spiaggia di Cala Violina.
L’opportunità di abbinare la pratica sportiva, anche di un certo livello, al fianco dei migliori campioni iscritti di specialità Gravity e Downhill, con uno degli ultimi week end estivi appetibili per mare, spiaggia e sole sarà irresistibile per molti. L’organizzazione infatti si aspetta una folta partecipazione sia di atleti che di accompagnatori attratti non solo dalla passione per la mountain-bike e dalla destinazione balneare ma anche dalle numerose iniziative collaterali in programma al PuntAla Camping Resort: concerto con live band, apres bike nell’area paddock e la terza “demo” stagionale di Dirt Jump che vedrà esibirsi tra i bikers acrobati anche Ale Barbero, atleta RedBull in sella alla sua funambolica bmx.

Un piccolo scaffale/libreria, posto nella pagoda/gelateria in zona RistoranteBar Centrale, è stato dedicato al progetto.]]><![CDATA[PuntalAmbiente - Salva la Pineta]]>Giovedì 11 agosto si è celebrata al PuntAla la giornata dedicata all’ educazione ambientale e alla protezione della nostra pineta. Il bosco e la pineta sono elementi caratteristici che contraddistinguono il paesaggio Maremmano e le nostre coste italiane. Ogni anno d’estate, come puntualmente accade, i fuochi distruggono ettari del nostro patrimonio verde.
Nei casi analizzati dalle autorità locali, le cause più frequenti sono incuria e dolo .
A fronte di una richiesta tecnologica sempre più all’avanguardia per combattere gli incendi e spegnerli il prima possibile, la “tecnologia” migliore per eliminare tali problemi rimane sempre quella dell’educazione ambientale, volta alla divulgazione delle buone pratiche ambientali.
Ed è proprio al PuntAla Camping Resort, 30 ettari di “parco vacanze” situato in una foltissima pineta sulle spiagge di Punta Ala, che si è tenuta la giornata di educazione ambientale “Salva La Pineta” in collaborazione con i Vigili del Fuoco di Grosseto, dove i bambini, nella prima mattinata, insieme agli animatori hanno giocato con i dispositivi di protezione antincendio, effettuando la caccia al tesoro e la conta degli estintori. Nella seconda mattinata e per tutto il pomeriggio, il resort ha ospitato un mezzo antincendio dei Vigili di Grosseto, la cui squadra ha mostrato ai bambini e ai genitori il funzionamento dell’attrezzatura antincendio a bordo del mezzo e tutti gli attrezzi per intervenire in situazione di emergenza come incidenti di auto e crolli di edifici.
Molte sono state le famiglie contente della giornata organizzata, a conferma di come, da sempre, il PuntAla Camping Resort si impegni alla diffusione della cultura alla prevenzione contro gli incendi e l’educazione alle buone pratiche ambientali.
]]><![CDATA[La Carovana del Cuore]]>La Carovana del Cuore - Per il sesto anno consecutivo, la Carovana del Cuore ha fatto tappa lungo le coste della Maremma Toscana.
 
La Carovana del Cuore è una campagna di sensibilizzazione che promuove i principali progetti di Fondazione Patrizio Paoletti, tra cui Scuole nel Mondo. Ogni anno, da giugno a settembre, i volontari della Fondazione percorrono, riconoscibili dall’inconfondibile maglietta arancione, strade, spiagge e città a bordo di due camper e cinque automobili. I volontari coinvolti dialogano con le persone che incontrano, portando la loro attenzione su tematiche importanti come la ricerca, l'educazione, i paesi in via di sviluppo. Ad ogni sua edizione è patrocinata da oltre 100 tra comuni, province ed enti locali e rappresenta uno dei più importanti appuntamenti internazionali a favore dei diritti dell’infanzia.
La Carovana del Cuore, come prima tappa dell’itinerario, ha scelto la Toscana ed in particolare la spiaggia di Punta Ala (Castiglione della Pescaia – Gr) godendo dell’ospitalità gratuita del PuntAla Camping Resort dal 20 al 22 luglio 2011.

Il genere musicale proposto spazierà dal jazz al soul, dal funky al raggae. La performance dell’artista di fama internazionale (di passaggio in Maremma per una deviazione straordinaria lungo il tour estivo per presentare l'ultimo album) si terrà sul palco a mare dalle ore 21:00 in poi.

Sapete cos’è un “threesixsty” o un “back flip”?  ...Lo scoprirete venerdì 15 luglio quando quattro giovanissimi rider in MBT e BMX (veri e propri acrobati in bici, ndr) scalderanno le ruote sulle rampe in legno della linea di 30 metri allestita per l’occasione davanti al Ristorante Bar Mare per darsi appuntamento alla seconda Demo di Dirt Jump di stagione (la prima si è tenuta durante il Funky Day di fine maggio; la successiva in occasione della gara Pro di SuperEnduro in programma a metà settembre). La giornata intera, dedicata ai festeggiamenti per celebrare la metà di luglio, sarà scandita da altri momenti di intrattenimento curati dallo staff di animazione e da musicisti di professione, ecco il programma sintetico della giornata:

Through 4 September, twice every day, certified instructors in this discipline, normally associated with life in the city, will be offering outdoor Indoor Cycling lessons (not to be confused with spinning, even though it’s quite similar) – for living the unique experience of pedaling “along the shore,” caressed by the refreshing sea breeze of the Punta Ala coast
The cycling sessions (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) are absolutely free of charge – except for 10 euro one-time sign-up fee – and will be held on the balcony overlooking the sea.

Il training alfagenico e’ particolarmente adatto ad affrontare le problematiche riguardanti stress management, difficoltà del comportamento, psicosomatica, difficoltà sessuali, controllo del dolore, fiducia in sè ed aumento della creatività personale

Ogni stage consiste in tre sedute di circa 50 minuti ciascuna, ripetute in tre posti di diversa ambientazione (pineta, spiaggia PuntAla, spiaggia Cala Civette) intorno alle 18.00 fino al calar del sole. Necessari ad ogni seduta sono un telo da mare o una stuoia ed un paio di scarpe in gomma per raggiungere, oltre la scogliera, Cala Civette per l’ultima seduta.
 
Un approfondimento di questa tecnica e di altre tematiche di natura simile saranno oggetto di un incontro dal titolo INTELLIGENZA ECOLOGICA “come vincere lo stress…

]]><![CDATA[A summer of great cinema under the stars at PuntAla]]>CineAmare, the first outdoor summer film festival at the PuntAla Camping Resort, starts on Tuesday, 5 July.
 
Until 25 August, for all our guests, overnight and otherwise, every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 p.m., in cooperation with Lorenzo Minoli’s Flying Dutchman Produzioni, a great summer offer of 16 showings: a mix of the best of last season’s movies and feature films with strong social impact.
 
An innovative service conceived by the Flying Dutchman, whose Gipsy Movie program proposes taking cinema “where cinema has never gone before”; for example to town squares, other outdoor sites, and the top campsites that have been “forgotten” by traditional distribution channels.
 
Details & Program:
 
The summer arena opens on Tuesday 5 July at 9 p.m. (or as soon as it’s dark) with La Marea Silenziosa(and on 18 August), a film produced by Lorenzo Minoli and set at the Piaggio factory in Pontedera, where the mythical Vespa scooter is manufactured.
The film narrates the story of Francesco, who returns to the town in the province of Pisa to care for his grandfather Alceste, a retired Piaggio worker. Francesco finds himself immersed in a life he though was behind him – he has even forgotten the Tuscan dialect! At the Piaggio village, he learns what it means to take pride in being part of a project (the Vespa) – a “mission” that inspires oldsters and young people alike – and he meets Claudia, who helps him to rediscover his roots.
 
Among this season’s successes, don’t miss Immaturi on 7 July: a film featuring Ambra Angiolini, Luca Bizzarri, Raul Bova, and Anita Caprioli who play a group of old school chums who find themselves having to take their school-leaving exam all over again, after twenty years; or Barney’s Version, starring two such greats as Paul Giamatti and Dustin Hoffman, showing on 14 July; or the successful comedy Benvenuti al sud with an explosive Claudio Bisio, onscreen on 19 July and 4 August. And in this year of the beatification of John Paul II, what could be more fitting than the 2005 production of Have No Fear. The Life of Pope John Paul II directed by Jeff Bleckner, with Lorenzo Minoli among the cast members, showing on 12 and 28 July.
 
Also worth seeing, the poignant The Flowers of Kirkuk, on the CineAmare screen on 21 July: it’s the story of Najla and Sherko’s tragic love and the likewise fatal attraction of Mokhtar for Najla set in Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. A story of sacrifice and grief, jealousy and unfaithfulness, exploring the themes of individual responsibility and mass tragedy.
 
During the month of August, at the outdoor theater near the Ristorante Bar Mare at the PuntAla Camping Resort, last Christmas season’s box-office success La banda dei babbi Natale with the irresistible comedy trio Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo (16 August) and Green Zone with Matt Damon as an American official during the first occupation of Iraq.
]]><![CDATA[Finn World Master 2011]]>
Michael Maier (CZE) che difendeva il titolo di campione, ha riportato una vittoria pulita al Finn World Masters a Punta Ala, dopo aver vinto entrambe le prove finali. Le tre barche dietro la sua erano tutte a 13 punti, separate solo dal countback: l'argento è andato ad Allen Burrel (GBR) ed il bronzo ad Uli Breuer (Ger), al suo primo Finn Masters.

Questa settimana il vento proveniente da sud ha portato nuovi elementi nella gara, con forza moderata fino a 16-17 nodi e condizioni molto imprevedibili. Entrambi i Campi di regata erano posizionati paralleli alla costa piuttosto che perpendicolarmente, con la rotta del secondo campo molto più insidiosa per la vicinanza al promontorio di Punta Ala. Qui, nella prima gara, le condizioni di vento sono state molto leggere mentre sono piacevolmente aumentate nella seconda.

Nel Campo di Regata 1 gareggiavano in pratica tutti i favoriti e, a dispetto della composizione casuale delle flottiglie, sei dei primi dieci in classifica sono finiti a gareggiare nella stessa prova.
Nel gruppo dei Gialli Enrico Passoni (ITA) ha vinto la sua prima regata della settimana su Adrian Brunton (GBR) e Jurgen Eiermann (GER). Un'altro italiano, Marco Buglielli, ha vinto la sua seconda prova della settimana su Michael Staal (DEN) e Brunton; quest'ultimo, trovandosi in entrambe le sfide tra i primi tre arrivi, si è aggiudicato per la prima volta una posizione tra i 10 più forti.

Tutti i campioni regatavano nella flottiglia Blu, dove Michael Maier ha vinto altre due tappe ed ha spazzato via tutti con 8 vittorie pulite su 8 regate.
Nella prima gara Thomas Moerup Petersen (DEN) è arrivato secondo e Marc Allain des Beauvais terzo, mentre nella seconda Gara Allen Burrel si è piazzato secondo e di nuovo Allain des Beauvais terzo.

Nel Campo di regata 2, situato a ridosso del promontorio di Punta Ala, i venti soffiavano più forte ed hanno reso la gara più interessante. Nella flottiglia Rossa lars Hall (DEN) ha vinto la prima gara contro Kenneth Boggild (DEN) e Alexander Kasatov (Rus), mentre nella seconda Hall è finito secondo rispetto a Mihail Kopanov con Bernd Moser (AUT) in terza posizione.
Anche per Hall, la sua splendida prova gli ha permesso di piazzarsi tra i primi 10.

Nella flottiglia dei Verdi, Jan Willem Kok (NED) era l'unico concorrente tra i primi 10 classificati ed ha vinto la prima gara per poi piazzarsi terzo nella seconda. Svend Vogt Andersen (DEN) è arrivato secondo nella prima tappa su Cees Scheurwater (NED) , mentre nella seconda gara Paul Blowers (GBR) – per la prima volta ad un Finn World Masters – ha
vinto su Francesco Faggiani (ITA) e su Kok.

Marco Buglielli ha dichiarato sulla vittoria della sua tappa: “Stavo veleggiando più in basso rispetto agli ragazzi che sono più grossi di me; ero terzo alla boa di bolina dietro due raggazzi più grandi di me e sono riuscito a passarli sottovento, poi uno mi superato di nuovo sopravento, ma ho riguadagnato la mia posizione nel successivo sottovento, lui mi ha nuovamente superato ed ho vinto per una decina di metri. E' stata veramente dura”.

Uli Breuer ha riassunto così la sua settimana: “E' stato veramente tosto regatare oggi; nella prima gara ho passato la boa di bolina terzo, ma poi ho sbagliato tattica e nella seconda bolina sono finito dodicesimo. Nella seconda tappa ero quinto, ma è dura dopo sette gare, è stata una settimana lunga ed è la mia prima volta al Finn: è veramente impegnativa. Il luogo è stupendo, la regata è stata divertente e sia io che mia moglie siamo felici dei risultati: lei è soddisfatta di come ha regatato, ha terminato tutte le prove e non è poco, quindi è andata bene. Punta Ala è un luogo incantevole con ottimi venti, è stato perfetto. Il prossimo anno torneremo a Pwhelli”.

Per Laurent Hay non è stata la giornata che sperava di avere ed è finito sesto assoluto:
“Nella prima prova sono andato bene, ma poi ho fatto un errore nel tratto della seconda bolina. Mentre ero secondo mi sono allontanato di 30 metri troppo a sinistra e sono stato superato da cinque barche. Nella gara successiva ho rotto qualcosa nella seconda bolina, ho dovuto riparare la barca e poi ho scuffiato nella poppa, ho perso quattro posizioni e sono
finito settimo”.

Dopo aver vinto la medaglia d'argento Allen Burren dichiara esultante: “E' stata una settimana fantastica, la regata è stata condotta veramente bene e sono al settimo cielo per la conquista dell'argento, visto che dopo oggi pensavo di finire al terzo o quarto posto.
Credevo di essermi giocato l'argento quando nella prima gara di oggi sono arrivato quinto, ma poi è entrata un po' più di brezza e nella gara successiva sono arrivato secondo e questo ha determinato la vittoria. Ad ogni modo le condizioni di questa settimana sono state fantastiche, quasi perfette!”.

Con la vittoria di quest'anno, Michael Meier rivendica il suo terzo oro al Campionato Mondiale: “Oggi è andata bene, anche se il vento sembrava un po' insidioso alla fine è stato buono ed il migliore di tutta la settimana.
Questa settimana partecipo per divertirmi, se vinco bene, altrimenti va bene lo stesso: sono soddisfatto dei risultati ma ho avuto un paio di gare fortunate, specialmente ieri con i venti leggeri – non si può mai dire cosa succederà. Oggi tutti i concorrenti più forti erano nella flotta blu ed l'assegnazione dovrebbe essere casuale: magari c'è un errore nel computer che
gestisce l'assegnazione dei partecipanti alle diverse flottiglie!”.

Un'emozionato Howard Sellars, vincitore della Categoria “Legend” afferma: “E' veramente difficile esprimere come mi sento in questo momento. Sono commosso e sto combattendo per non avere le lacrime agli occhi: alcuni tra questi uomini sono le istituzioni più anziane della classe più grande al mondo. Essere con loro su questo palco è meraviglioso e non credevo di aver vinto finchè non ho sentito pronunciare il mio nome. Non credevo sarebbe accaduto ed ancora fatico a crederci, sul serio!”.

Breve cronaca della prima giornata di prove:
36 equipaggi della classe F18 e 18 equipaggi della classe Hobie Cat 16-SPI.
Vento con intensità 11 nodi costante mare poco mosso per la prima prova.
Vento incostante per la seconda prova tanto da dover accorciare il campo di regata. Due regate disputate per ogni classe. Equipaggio Bissaro/Cesari (Campioni d’Italia) in testa alla classifica dei F18.

]]><![CDATA[You wanted a bicycle...now pedal!]]>The upcoming summer season is rich in bicycle-related events which our resort, in collaboration with the amateur sports club Bandite Bike Park and local institutions, is preparing for all lovers of this sport. Three events of national character are on the agenda:
Funky Day 2011 - PuntAla Dirt Jump Demo Tour - SuperEnduro GaraPro
The first event is the 14th edition (the second at our resort) of the meeting of MTB bikers organised by the specialised magazine TuttoMTB. About 750 bikers from all over Italy, divided into categories (XC, Enduro and Family Bike), will participate, accompanied by experts and local guides, along the trails of various difficulty levels (easy, medium and hard) between the rich Mediterranean shrub and the blue-green sea. In this atmosphere of festivity and holiday, the first of three Dirt Jump demos organised by PuntAla throughout the season will take place from 27 to 29 May. What this is about is easy to explain: a show of breathtaking jumps performed by champions and experts in the field on MTB or BMX bikes prepared for the occasion (you will find some videos on our website in the section Bikes/Bike Park). We like the show put on by these “acrobats” in the saddle so much that we have already planned two more demos to entertain our guests in subsequent weeks, one in July (date to be determined) and one at the end of the summer, on 17 and 18 September, during the SuperEnduro race Gara Pro PuntAla, a competitive event hosted by our resort for the second year in a row.
In addition to the shows, as always there will be daily offers of guided tours with top-quality MTB for rent (PuntAla Cycle Tours, MTB rental and excursion centre located at the resort); the tours will take place along the numerous trails of the bicycle park “Bandite Bike Park in Maremma”.
]]><![CDATA[With full sails]]>“Surfing” the web has by now become a sport - if you can call it that - for everyone … “navigating” the sea with catamarans and sport boats is a much more exclusive, sometimes Olympic, discipline.
 
Numerous former champions and veterans from every corner of the planet will compete in the waters of the Gulf of Follonica during the Finn World Master Championship from 10 to 17 June. The sailing club Cala Civette, with its logistics office at PuntAla, coordinates the activities of the organising committee made up of other sailing clubs of the area that have come together for this event. During the seven days of races, about 300 one-person crews with as many boats will set sail each morning for the regatta field, set up between Elba, Punta Hidalgo and Puntone di Scarlino. At the end of the day spent on the water, the event’s programme includes dinners, refreshments, entertainment and social activities such as concerts on the stages and in the facilities of the resort open to everyone.
 
A few weeks before this world-class sailing event, the Cat Days 2011 will see three days dedicated to catamarans of the classes Formula 18 and HC16Spi. From 20 to 22 May these two classes will compete in their respective regattas, offering the spectator a unique show of “flying boats”. Highest-level champions and promising young talents of the Italian sailing sport will participate, workshops will be held for in-depth discussions of regatta techniques, and there will be festivities and gatherings for the competing crews. Needless to say that PuntAla, with its sailing club Cala Civette, will also be an integral part of the organising committee for this repeat event (with 60 participating crews the Cat Days 2009 were a great success).

If you are habitual campers and have no intention of trying out the comfort of our accommodations (Mobile Home Club & Easy, Bungalow PuntAla) any time soon, then the next few lines may not yet interest you (but never say never!).
 
As of the coming summer, the non-interest-bearing safety deposit usually required upon arrival in cash (100 Euro), as guarantee against damages to the accommodation occupied during your stay, may be deposited - as an alternative - using your credit card (Visa or MasterCard). The amount will be pre-authorised by the banking network, and any rights to compensatory charges as reimbursement for damages to the accommodations will automatically expiry upon the end of your stay.
 
This procedure is certainly simpler as well as easier on your wallet and, we hope, will also further shorten the time required for check-in.

Due to great demand and in order to facilitate navigating the social networks and the rest of the web, we set the cost of access to the Wi-Fi connection in all areas covered by our internal WLAN network to zero (and increased coverage with an additional 6 signal boosters). Thus anyone with a Wi-Fi device compatible with open networks similar to our own can navigate and divide content on-line without any subscription fee; all that is needed is a simple registration, to be carried out in our front office (reception), required for obvious reasons of security and the fulfilment of obligations to safeguard the hosting facility.

Our collaboration with FullTime - the Show and Animation Agency that has organised daytime and night-time entertainment for our guests for some years - is based on professionalism, reliability and safety and is becoming closer all the time.
 
In addition to the classic evening events “Disco Shake” and “DS Show”, the programme Discovery Summer for the coming summer includes new “edutainment” activities during the day for our smallest guests: playful scientific workshops dealing with subjects linked to nature, ecology and renewable energy; games to get acquainted, such as face painting and role-playing games; art workshops using natural and/or recycled materials; sensory paths and sports activities mixed with play (“Wake up your muscles” in the morning and inflatable mini soccer fields); music workshops (new in 2011) to discover the sound potential of common objects around us (in collaboration with the Music Academy Italia).
 
We will also pay greater attention to teenagers and their entertainment by adding a “Junior Club” dedicated just to them as of the beginning of June.

As announced, both barcode-equipped smart cards (fidelity cards) will give the possibility of accumulating benefits with each purchase at our resort’s shop to anyone who wishes to participate in the bonus programme “Raccolta Punti Pinolo”. The detailed programme with the methods and conditions for participation and the integral regulation are still in preparation, but the exclusive premiums, consisting in clothing or beach articles, have already been selected.

the Finn World Championships, Master category.
From the 10 to the 17 of June PuntAla, event venue and athletes’ village, will give hospitality to world class regatta participants, with their staff and families, coming from all over Europe. The resort will be partly used to store about 350 sailing boats and partly involved in organising the logistics of the event (shows, concerts and local produce tasting sessions).
Once again, our resort will be the centre of attraction for many sailing enthusiasts and for many privileged spectators like yourselves.

The offer is valid until the 25th of March 2011 (subject to extension) if you book on line or through our call centre.]]><![CDATA[SuperEnduro PuntAla PRO#04 2010 ]]>Dopo l’ultima edizione Sprint di Aviano appena conclusa, il SuperenduroMTB è ora pronto per un finale di stagione infuocato con la Pro di Punta Ala il prossimo weekend (25 e 26 settembre 2010)      . Teatro della prima ed unica gara in Toscana dell’intero circuito saranno alcuni sentieri del nuovissimo Bandite Bike Park in Maremma, comprensorio “naturalmente” concepito per forche lunghe e ruote grasse sulle colline tra mare e macchia del comune di Scarlino, in provincia di Grosseto. L’evento logisticamente organizzato dall’ASD Bandite Bike Park vedrà radunarsi, nella migliore delle ipotesi, circa 150/200 enduristi che si misureranno lungo le quattro prove speciali appositamente disegnate su tre diversi single-track del bike park. Le gare valide per la classifica finale sono previste nella giornata di domenica 26 settembre ma alcuni bikers già si scalderanno le gambe il sabato, durante il prologo/prova segreta del tardo pomeriggio.
La sede logistica della manifestazione, il PuntAla Camping Resort, garantirà la sistemazione a tutti coloro che vorranno conciliare l’adrenalinico w.e. di sport con l’ultimo tuffo in mare di stagione, offrendo soluzioni di campeggio oppure confortevoli alloggi da condividere con amici o familiari.
L’organizzazione, come di consuetudine, offrirà agli iscritti momenti aggregativi e di divertimento: già dal venerdì l’appuntamento con i primi bikers che raggiungeranno Punta Ala per familiarizzare con i percorsi è fissato al Ristorante Bar Mare del PuntAla per l’apres bike alle 18.00; il sabato l’allestimento dell’area expo ed i primi salti di prova dei jumpers che si esibiranno nel contest di Dirt Jump in programma la domenica, al termine della prova segreta l’apres bike alle 18.00 con dj-set fino al concerto rock & blues delle 20.00; la domenica dopo il via delle prove alle 9.30, il paddock si animerà con il Dirt Jump Contest alle 11.00, poi ancora musica fino al rientro dei primi enduristi, l’apres bike e la premiazione.

Giornata cominciata in sordina.. anche oggi il vento è salito alle 14.00 direzione ovest/nord ovest. Si sono aggiunti oggi i 49er, altre 17 imbarcazioni iscritte, per un totale di 35 equipaggi così suddivisi: 20 x 29er, 8x laser 4000, 17 x 49er. Intensità vento 8/10 nodi
Onda formata Sono state disputate 3 prove come da regolamento per il Laser 4000 e 4 prove sia per il 29er che per il 49er. Domani il gran finale!

Giornata splendida anche se cominciata un po’ in sordina, poi il nostro maestralino ha fatto si che si potessero disputare tutte le gare in programma.

Potremo da oggi fregiarci del più prestigioso riconoscimento in ambito comunitario europeo nel contesto delle certificazioni ambientali. Non solo un titolo ma un impegno pratico che dovremo confermare di anno in anno, in sede di verifica con gli enti certificatori preposti, con le buone pratiche di gestione e le buone abitudini dei nostri Ospiti.
Il Sistema comunitario di ecogestione e audit (EMAS = Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) è un sistema ad adesione volontaria per le imprese e le organizzazioni che desiderano impegnarsi a valutare e migliorare la propria efficienza ambientale.
EMAS è stato lanciato nel 1995 ed è stato sottoposto a revisione nel 2001.
EMAS è principalmente destinato a migliorare l'ambiente e a fornire alle organizzazioni, alle autorità di controllo ed ai cittadini (al pubblico in senso lato) uno strumento di valutazione e gestione dell'impatto ambientale di una organizzazione.

Lungo il percorso che da mesi avevamo intrapreso abbiamo dovuto:
1. Effettuare una analisi ambientale.
2. Dotarsi di un sistema di gestione ambientale.
3. Effettuare un audit ambientale.
4. Predisporre una dichiarazione ambientale.
5. Ottenere la verifica indipendente da un verificatore EMAS.
6.
