“PuntalAmbiente” Project – The Environmental Policy
The Puntala Camping Resort is aware of:
•the importance of environmental protection in shaping national and international laws, as well as its relevance to the business world,
•the increased interest and concern of end-users for these issues.
For these reasons, the Puntala Camping Resort has decided to put into practice an Environmental Management System in agreement with the international regulation UNI EN ISO 14001:2004.
The PuntAla Camping Resort, aware of the organizational breadth and difficulties of this decision, promises to use its economic and human resources in the correct management and implementation of the environmental management system. The end result is the protection of the environment and a continuous improvement of environmental practices, with special attention to the guest services.
In more detail, through a proper management and implementation of the Environmental Management System, the PuntAla Camping Resort promises to:
•operate according to all the laws, regulations and norms relative to organizational activities, as well as to the internal rules of the PuntAla Camping Resort; • reduce and prevent the environmental impact and pollution deriving from all available services, including support services. Special attention will be given to saving energy and water supplies as well as to waste removal, since these issues are of particular concern to the management of hospitality services such as those offered by the PuntAla Camping Resort;
•ensure that products and services offered by the PuntAla Camping Resort are compatible with the surrounding environment and do not alter, in any significant way, the ecosystem in which they exist;
•establish and maintain adequate inspections, including periodical re-evaluations, in order to ensure that the principles outlined herein are properly implemented and respected;
•annually review the environmental analysis and re-evaluate the environmental impacts of the resort’s practices, activities and services, for the purpose of: -assessing progress made towards achieving environmental goals and objectives;
-maintaining full respect for environmental laws;
-defining further goals and objectives;
•ensure, also by means of professional training programs, that staff members are aware of their environmental responsibilities and keep these in mind in performing their daily duties;
•encourage suppliers to adopt the Environmental Management System and to operate in the full respect of environmental laws;
•constantly improve environmental performance by keeping employees informed of the goals and objectives previously achieved and of those to be achieved in the future;
